How much of my donation goes to Tamworth Street Angels?
If your donation is made by BACS then we receive 100% of your donation. If it is made by card we are charged 20p plus 1.2% of of the full amount of donation prior to any funds reaching us.
Can I organise a fund raising event at my home?
As an organisation we rely on donations to operate. Any event held to raise funds for Tamworth Street Angels is always welcome. All that we ask is that you get in touch with us beforehand to let us know of your intentions.
How old do I have to be to volunteer with Tamworth Street Angels?
We only accept volunteers over the age of 18.
What training will I receive?
Every volunteer will receive "on shift" training which also covers use of the radio. We also run face to face First Aid Training courses and any new volunteer would be invited to take part in the next course available (alternatively this can be achieved online). We also have our own guidance notes and procedures which are set out in our Handbook which every volunteer must read.
How often do I have to volunteer ?
How often you volunteer is entirely up to you. Some of our volunteers go out on shift a couple of times a month while for others it might be once every couple of months. A rota is emailed out to all volunteers each week covering the next few weeks and you can indicate your availability to come out as part of the team for any of the shifts shown.
Where are Tamworth Street Angels based?
We have a base room in the town centre. Parking is available for volunteers.

Tamworth Street Angels are a group of volunteers working together to ensure that those who come into our town to have fun do so safely.
We aim to support and care for anyone in need as an expression of Christian faith, working with people of any faith or none.
It has been cited that, thanks to the work of the Street Angels group, there is a reduction in harmful or offensive behaviour and subsequent arrests in the town.
We exist to promote the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of anyone in the town centre by the provision of pastoral care and support, without bias or distinction of race, sex, gender, political, religious or other opinion of the members of that community.

People from all backgrounds are welcome to apply to become volunteers as long as they are in sympathy with the aims of the organisation.
